Tournament of SVV Weigenheim and big family party powered by MEKRA Lang

Bombastic summer weather and optimal conditions at the Weigenheim sports field for the pre-season tournament of the youth teams. Over 54 teams fought for the coveted tournament victory and the many other great prizes on three tournament days last weekend. Among them were top-class teams from SpVgg Greuther Fürth, which sent two youth teams to Weigenheim due to its premium partnership with MEKRA Lang.

On Friday, the B and A juniors played out the winner in a parallel blitz tournament. The games lasted almost until midnight.

Four tournaments took place on Saturday. During the games of the F-, E-, D- and C-juniors the numerous spectators could experience many exciting games with best atmosphere.

A special highlight took place on Sunday morning: The Bambinis played the Funiño game in five adjoining fields. With 3 against 3 on four mini goals and the hustle and bustle on the soccer field, all the children were winners of hearts. The sports weekend was rounded off by the games of the D2 juniors.

A real family event

But there was not only a lot going on on the pitch. Goal wall shooting, glitter tattoos, face painting and a large bouncy castle for the children helped to ensure that even the youngest were not bored. A supporting program that the numerous families present gladly accepted.

After cocktails were sold on Friday evening, visitors could fortify themselves with healthy vitamins at the MEKRA Lang energy bar on Saturday and Sunday. Watermelons, bananas and apples, fresh and chilled, as well as smoothies, sold like hot cakes in temperatures of around 30 degrees. The soccer weekend was thus at the same time a big family party of a special kind.

It is a personal concern of the management of MEKRA Lang to support the fantastic youth work in Weigenheim, which is why the entire tournament was sponsored by MEKRA Lang and all proceeds went to SVV Weigenheim.

The sunny weather made the event perfect and created ideal conditions for the players and the many visitors who did not want to miss the soccer tournament.
